Barry was born in the Goldfields, raised in the Wheatbelt, and lived in the Pilbara for 20 years.
First elected as a Federal MP in 1998, Barry has served continuously and conscientiously to represent our local community.
As the local Federal Member for the past 12 years, Barry continues to represent the residents of rural and regional Western Australia and is constantly visiting the hundreds of towns and communities within the huge electorate of Durack and acting on the concerns and ideas of his constituents.
Barry is fighting for our right to work and the right to enjoy the rewards of our labour in communities with ever improving amenities.
