About Joel
Joel Drysdale is a dedicated small business owner, experienced publican and brewer, and the Liberal candidate for Scullin.
Originally from regional Victoria, Joel moved to Melbourne at 21, bringing with him a strong commitment to serving his community – a value instilled in him by his parents, a police officer and a school teacher.
Joel has over two decades of experience in hospitality and liquor – running his own brewing and liquor distribution company, and also a bar/bottle shop in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
Joel and his wife Janna are raising their two young daughters in the electorate of Scullin, where they spend weekends supporting local sports and actively participating in their community.
Joel is asking for your support to stand up for small businesses who are being hammered by cost of living, and to help improve housing affordability.
His experience in small business has shown him the pressure that Labor’s excessive red tape and higher taxes place on families. He is determined to make it easier for small businesses to thrive.
Locally, he is focused on fighting to improve roads, community infrastructure, and to make our communities safer and more connected.
Joel will bring his practical approach, reputation for hard work and innovation to fighting for his local community in Scullin.
