About Ross
Ross has been a proud resident of the Bonner community for over 30 years and has witnessed the tremendous growth and development of this unique area of Brisbane.
Ross was first elected as the Member for Bonner in 2004 and has served in the seat from 2010 through to today.
Prior to entering Parliament, Ross graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Commerce and gained extensive experience in the small business industry. He owned and managed a chain of highly successful restaurants, demonstrating his passion for people and a practical understanding of small business. From this experience, he understands very well that excessive bureaucracy and red tape are not practical solutions to the challenges faced by business and society.
Ross is a devoted father to his two sons, Zachary (born in 2013) and Micah (born in 2015). When he and his wife, Fang, were considering where to raise their sons, they couldn’t imagine a better place than in the wonderful community of Bonner.
This is Ross’s firm commitment to the residents of Bonner to ensure their experiences, values, and aspirations are represented in Canberra.
