About Rowan
Rowan Ramsey is the Federal Member for Grey in South Australia.
He is married to Teresa, a teacher, and has three children who are now young adults.
Rowan has been involved in the rural sector as a farmer. He believes modern agriculture is a dynamic industry and wants to ensure farmers embrace innovation and technological changes.
His heavy involvement in community organisations has given him a depth of knowledge and understanding of needs of regional and rural communities.
Rowan has held leadership roles in Apex, hospital boards, football and other sporting organisations, CFS and the agricultural research community.
Rowan strongly believes in seeking others’ point of view, so he can best represent the whole electorate, learn as much as possible about issues and ensure a balanced view.
Rowan is a devoted father and knows how important a stable family life is to a child’s development.
He believes families are the building blocks of our nation and it is the government’s responsibility to do all we can to support them.
His three children have chosen professions in the science field, a chemical engineer, research scientist and the youngest recently graduated as a civil engineer. Rowan shares this deep interest in science and innovation and believes we need to promote a smart country.
